Gama Meccanica Recycling Systems
A range of solutions for recycling plastic materials The Gamma Meccanica recycling systems can be grouped into three main types: convenional systems consisting in a grinding mill, forced feeder, extruder, filter and cutter; COMPAC systems consisting in a shredder, extruder, filter and cutter; PET systems consisting in a dehumidifier, extruder, filter and cutter.
The Compac Line
The COMPAC line is designed to deal with special materials such as film, fibres, fabrics and yarns and consists in a feeder equipped with a shredder, extruder and TDA cutter.
The shredder “shreds” the material so it is ready for the extruder. During shredding, the material is heated so it becomes more dense and any moisture is evaporated. Increasing the density of the material ensures a constant flow through the extruder. “Loose” recycling material is conveyed into the system by a conveyor belt, however film (on reels) is introduced thanks to an unwinding system (which unwinds the reels).

Conventional Recycling Line
Recycling line with forced feed (conventional)
Traditional systems are ideal for recycling plastic materials in the form of films or granules using a grinding mill. Traditional lines consist in a grinding mill, forced feeder, extruder, with a filter and cutter at the end.
The grinding mill breaks down the material to recycle making it more suitable for the recycling process. The material is conveyed from the grinding mill to the forced feeder. The forced feeder ensures there is a constant quantity of material in the extruder.
This type of line comes in various models depending on
the quantity of recycled material that needs to be produced.

The basic E-TRIM line consists in a feeder, extruder,
cutter and granule cooling system. If desired, granule feeding, conveying
and collection accessories can be added. There are two models, E-TRIM/B
and E-TRIM/S, which feature different production capacities, installed
powers and extruder motors.
The feeder store receives and stocks shredded material. This provides
the line with a “store” of usable material, which allows better
staff work time distribution on the main line. The material enters the
cylinder through a metering rotary valve. The extruder is equipped with
a specially designed screw featuring a large feeder opening, suitable
for products with a low specific weight and a very low L/D ratio. A large
degassing chamber allows materials that can create “air bubble”
problems inside the granules to be recycled. Thanks to an air cutting
system, materials such as Polyethylene from HD to LLD are correctly granulated
in even sizes and then cooled in the centrifugal dust separators. The
sheer simplicity of use of this machine is the result of all the effort
and expertise that has gone into creating it.

P.E.T. recycling line
This type of recycling line is especially designed for
recycling P.E.T.
It consists in a dehumidifier, extruder, filter spaghetti die plate and
cutter.
The following models are available: GM85 for 160 –
200 kg/h (indicative) production capacities and GM125 for 350-400 kg/h
(indicative) production capacities.
